I hate quilting retreats.

Quilters love retreats. They get away from husbands, kids, laundry and everyday stress. The days are spent sewing, eating and laughing with their friends. Projects are done, started and shared.

Well, I personally hate quilting retreats. I don't see any reason for them.  Twice a year my Mom packs up her things and heads to some unknown location. I'm left at home with my Dad.  I love my Dad, he's a great guy and he's really generous with the treats. The problem... he's not my MOM.

I sleep with my Mom, she takes me out in the middle of the night, feeds me breakfast, dinner and sometimes a snack. At night she spends hours throwing my toy down the hall so I can run and play. And on occasion, she puts up with some naughtiness (OK, alot of naughtiness).  Dad plays with the toy, feeds me but isn't as understanding when the naughtiness takes over my body.

Mom leaves tomorrow at 2:00. Normally she leaves in the morning, but because Dad doesn't get home til 8:00 pm she won't leave me in the kennel that long. See, she's a good Mom. For my sake, I hope the weekend goes by fast.

To all the  puppy Moms out there -  take this into consideration before you go on a retreat..

  1. Poor little guy....I'm trying to decide on going to my annual retreat, but now maybe I'll consider not staying there at night so I can see my baby...Also going to be checking on a "Puppy Daycare" so maybe Doby will have sooo much fun while I'm gone he won't be too upset!! We'll see!!
